What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture as a return to balance.
Your body is wise.
By nature, it moves toward balance, health, and wholeness. Sometimes life, stress, emotions, overexertion, or simply time itself can pull us away from that natural rhythm. Symptoms are not a failure, they are messages. They are your body’s way of asking for attention, care, and support.
Acupuncture activates the body's natural self-healing ability. By placing very fine needles on specific points on the body, the nervous system, circulation, muscle tension, hormonal regulation and inflammatory processes can be influenced.
It supports the natural flow of energy, blood, emotions and awareness allowing your body to remember how to regulate itself again.

In my practice, I help people with a wide range of physical and emotional health concerns, including:
-
Pain & Tension
Back, neck, shoulder or joint pain, neuropathy, headaches or migraines, RSI, tennis elbow, or pelvic pain.
-
Stress & Fatigue
Overstimulation, poor sleep, burnout, or a constant feeling of tension.
-
Women's Health
Menstrual pain, PMS, menopausal symptoms, or support for hormonal balance and fertility.
-
Digestion & Energy
Bloating, sluggish digestion, IBS, acid reflux, or irregular bowel movements.
-
Skin & Allergies
Acne, eczema, or hay fever.
-
Emotional Wellbeing
Anxiety, grief, irritability, or a feeling of being stuck.

Pain Relief & Musculoskeletal Conditions
For pain conditions, acupuncture supports the body by influencing the nervous system and improving circulation in the affected area.
This helps calm pain signaling, release muscle tension, and regulate inflammatory processes.
As a result, treatment often brings both immediate relief and lasting improvement as the body restores its natural balance.
Insomnia & Sleep Disorders
For sleep issues, acupuncture supports the body’s natural sleep wake rhythm by calming the nervous system and stimulating the production of relaxation-promoting substances.
It helps the body unwind more easily in the evening and supports deeper, more restorative sleep throughout the night.

Stress, Burnout & Anxiety Support
Acupuncture has a strong regulating effect on the autonomic nervous system. It helps the body shift from a stress state (sympathetic) into a restorative state (parasympathetic).
As a result, inner restlessness, tension, and overstimulation decrease, creating more space for calm, mental clarity, and emotional stability.
Digestive Issues & Gut Health
Digestion is closely connected to the nervous system. Acupuncture helps regulate communication between the brain and the digestive organs, reduces stress-related tension, and supports the natural movement of the digestive system.
As a result, symptoms such as bloating, nausea, and intestinal discomfort often improve.

Hormonal Health & Balance
Acupuncture supports hormonal regulation through the hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian axis (the body’s hormonal control system).
It helps stabilize fluctuations, supports a healthy cycle, and reduces symptoms such as mood swings, hot flashes, pain, or fatigue associated with hormonal changes.
Chronic Fatigue & Low Energy
For fatigue, acupuncture supports the body’s recovery capacity by improving energy regulation and reducing overload of the nervous system.
It helps the body use energy more efficiently, allowing you to feel more vital, mentally clear, and balanced.
